Notes: A superbly executed large format design. S. Watanabe seal; lower right margin. According to Narazaki, 'This work is a toku-oban [special or oversized oban format]. All of Hasui's large format works are excellent, including this superb horizontal piece. Half of the mountain is aglow with the light of the setting sun, the form of Mount Fuji is high in a cloudless pale blue sky'. The two versions of this print portray Mount Fuji aglow in the setting sun (362) and during the chill of early dawn (362a). - Hotei Vol. 1; pg. 105
