Hasui, Kawase (1883 – 1957), “Two Young Women Strolling in an Azalea Garden”

Notes: One of the set of six prints that was commissioned by the Iwasaki Family and published by Watanabe Shozaburo in 1935. The title of the series is blind-stamped embossed in the bottom margin of each print (not noted in Hotei). The villa was converted in the Hotel de Yama before WWII, and the six prints were sold in a portfolio to its foreign clientele. SELDOM OFFERED; SCARCE.
