Hiroshi Yoshida, Portrait of a Boy – Toshi (over-sized)

Notes: Artist's brush signature and red seal. Jizuri seal in upper right margin. A superbly detailed over-sized double-oban work. A portrait of a young Toshi Yoshida. This print (Abe #97), along with "Ginkgo in Autumn" (Abe #133) both depict the artist's son, who would eventually follow in his father's footsteps as an artist. The pagoda of Kofuku-ji Temple towers over the Sarusawa pond. Two deer are strolling on the snow covered bank.
