NOTES:
Notes: Design #32 of 100 in the series. Toyohara Sumiaki, a musician in the court of Emperor Go-Kashiwabara (reigned 1500-1525), met a pack of wolves as he was walking in the Kitayama moors, north of Kyoto. He charmed them with the sound of his wooden flute and escaped unharmed. Considered Yoshitoshi's masterwork, the series, 'One Hundred Aspects of the Moon', was published between 1885 and 1892.
