A family is enjoying the blooming cherry blossoms near the ferry landing in Sekiya island. Mt Fuji is seen in the background.
Shotei, Takahashi designed woodblock prints for the famous publisher S. Watanabe - about 500 prints before the great earthquake in September 1923. All blocks were destroyed by the fires in the aftermaths of the great earthquake. Afterwards he resumed his work and created about 250 additional prints, before passing away on February 11, 1945.
