Narazaki states, "The work illustrates the vermilion gate of the temple, large and angled, with a pine tree in the foreground. A woman walks during a blizzard, her umbrella partially shut against the storm. This is a masterpiece within Hasui's oeuvre, and no other by him received as much praise". - Hotei Vol. 1; pg. 74
