Notes: The Senso temple, popularly known as Asakusa Kannon is located in Tokyo's lively Asakusa quarter; the temple is well known for the large lantern hanging in its Kaminari entrance gate and alleyway shops. In Hasui's depiction, he limns a quieter view of the temple grounds after a recent snowfall.
