Two women crossing a bridge over the Sumidagawa River, in a heavy snowfall. This print illustrates the Yanagibashi ('the willow bridge') over the river Kanda near its convergence with the Sumida. Independent landscape scenes are only a small group in Koson's work. This image, in its great simplicity and effective use of only a few colors, is one of his most beautiful designs. The original edition was issues by Watanabe in 1927 numbering 300 copies. where the Kanda River converges. - CCC, pg. 159
