The Yoroi Ferry carried passengers across the Nihonbashi River. Kabuto-cho lies just behind where we stand as a viewer, and is today the site of the Tokyo Stock Market.
This design was used for the cover image of the 1986 Brooklyn Museum catalog, One Hundred Famous Views of Edo.
