Notes: VERY Scarce, pre-earthquake version. First example we have come across in this condition. Shotei "P" Seal, rather then the later edition carrying the "L" Seal. S. Watanabe catalog number on reverse, "No. 179".
Several unique variations in the pre-earthquake version of this design - seen in the direction of the moon (crescent moon facing right, rather then left in the post-quake state); blocks used to create the effects of clouds in the sky have been re-carved in later state; reflection in the water has changed along with the defined space of the shoreline; shape of the mountain in background and trees/leaves show a variation between the two versions. Color variations are also quite distinct in the water and sky.
