Charles Bartlett, Indian Market Place – Original Watercolor

Notes: Signed, dated and titled in black crayon: "Charles W. Bartlett X-mas 1918". Beautifully presented under uv-glass and a period style dark kona and mahogany wood frame. Provenance: Robyn Buntin Gallery, Honolulu, HI. The subject matter is very similar to the completed etchings in the India & Kashmir Series. This original drawing was completed a year prior to Bartlett's India Series of woodblock prints; many of which used sketches from his travels through India.
