Yoshida, Hiroshi (1876 – 1950), “El Capitan”

Notes: Titled and signed in pencil by the artist. Brush signed and sealed by the artist. Red-brown (early) jizuri seal in the upper left margin. Hiroshi Yoshida notes in his book, Japanese Wood-Block Printing, 1939; that he used 6 blocks and a total of 33 impressions in order to capture the many gradations in this print.
