Notes: S. Watanabe "6 mm" circular seal in the lower left corner. The koinobori (carp banner) originated in the mid Tokugawa period (1600-1868) to celebrate Boy's festival. On this special day, carp banners were flown outside one's home and samurai dolls displayed inside to symbolize strength, power and success.
