A complete set of the series, 'The Collected Views of Minami Villa', Motohakone, 1935. Each print signed, 'Hasui' and sealed Kawase, published by Watanabe Shozaburo. Offered with the original studio folders. Titles include: "Mount Fuji in evening from Lake Ashino", "Moon, Akebi Bridge", "Azalea Garden from a Veranda", "Mount Fuji from azalea garden", "Two beauties, azalea garden", "Night rain at lakeside teahouse".
The set consists of six untitled designs that were commissioned in 1935 by the Iwasaki family (Mitsubishi). The villa and surrounding property were converted into a resort before WWII, and the set was sold inside the Hotel de Yama gift shop to its foreign clientele. Each print was originally mounted (tipped) inside a cardboard mat with titles inscribed in English.
