Yoshida climbed in the Japan Alps for about two months every summer. The changing light and color of the clouds held a special fascination for him which are well illustrated in his prints of mountain scenery. The small white triangle in the rocks of the middle distance is his tent. In his 1939 book, Yoshida states that 8 blocks and 31 impressions were used to complete this design. p>
