Yoshida climbed in the Japan Alps for about two months every summer. The changing light and color of the clouds held a special fascination for him which are well illustrated in his prints of mountain scenery. In his 1939 book, Yoshida states that 8 blocks and 31 impressions were used to complete this design. p>
