First state impression, with the red Bijutsusha "rumi" seal. Silver mica is used throughout the design to depict rain. Removed from original folder; never framed or displayed. Beppu is a well-known spa resort in Oita prefecture.
In the late 1920s, The Bijutsusha firm released the series entitled, "Collection of Ukiyo-e Designs", which contained eight landscape prints by Hasui. According to Narazaki, this set was issued by the Bijutsusha firm in Yotsuya, Tokyo.
