This atypical image stands out for its focus on the surrounding structures rather than the two human figures entering the scene. The risky choice in perspective by both the artist and publisher creates for a unique design.
Asakusa Kannon (Sensō-ji), is an ancient Buddhist temple in Tokyo, Japan. The site is Tokyo's oldest-established temple, and one of the city's most significant. Different structures in the temple complex include the main hall, a five-story pagoda and large gates. Asakusa Kannon was constructed to dedicate devotion to Kannon, the bodhisattva of compassion. It is the most widely visited religious site in the world with over 30 million visitors annually.[1][2]
