Hasui, Kawase (1883 – 1957), “Rain in Maekawa, Soshu”

Narazaki writes: 'A rainy night, a row of thatched-roofed houses line the street - a traditional woodblock print design and one of Hasui's favourites. The rain is created through the use of the baren pad'. Soshu (Sagami) province corresponds to present-day Kanagawa prefecture. - Hotei Vol. 1 pg. 85.
