This scene depicts the siege of Nagashino Castle. Torii Katsutaka was sent to get help and managed to evade the guards, but he insisted on returning to his comrades. Meanwhile, Takeda Katsuyori had fastened bells to the cables on the castleโs exit which gave the alarm and frightened a flock of herons. Subsequently, Torii Katsutaka was captured and died a samuraiโs death shouting hold fast to his comrades.
